This past week my buddy Hiep’s Vietnamese restaurant ”Hoai Hue” had a Grand Relocation. The place is located in the hearts of El Cajon San Diego. You can find the address below. First off some history on what they specialize in. They offer “Bun Bo Hue” or beef rice vermicelli. The dish originated from the imperial capital of central Vietnam. The broth is usually cooked with beef bones or shanks, some lemon grass, and many different spices and chillies.
The broth tasted clean and soothing, the predominate flavors are lemon grass and beef. The spice level was not flame breath but was about right. Beef was tender and cooked to perfection. The dish held all the proper ingredients such as onions, mints, and crushed black peppers. Hieps place offered many other famous Vietnamese dishes but we decided to wait until next time.
In that new Buffalo tee.
